Legendary choreographer Saroj Khan died on July 3, 2020, in Mumbai at 71 after going through respiratory points. She was a three-time Nationwide Award winner and has choreographed over 2000 songs. She has choreographed some iconic songs equivalent to Hawa Hawai, Mr. India (1987), Ek Do Teen, Tezaab (1988), Dhak Dhak Karne Laga, Beta (1992), Mere Haathon Mein, Chandni (1989), and plenty of extra.
In a tweet, King Khan shared that she taught him the dipping step. He wrote, “My first real trainer within the movie business. She taught me for hours the way to do the ‘dip’ for movie dancing. She is among the many most loving, caring, and galvanizing personas I’ve ever met. Will miss you Saroj ji . Could Allah bless her soul. Thanks for taking care of me.”
For the uninitiated, Saroj Khan has labored as a choreographer in SRK’s movies, equivalent to Devdas, Baazigar, Don, and Veer Zara. Additionally, Saroj Khan instructed the pose of Shah Rukh Khan with open arms within the title track of Baazigar. The pose ultimately turned his signature romantic pose. Working with Saroj Khan positively uplifted Shah Rukh Khan’s dancing abilities.
On the work entrance, SRK is gearing up for his upcoming film ‘King’ alongside his daughter Suhana Khan. The movie is about to launch in mid-2026.
