The recording classes for A Ghost Is Born started in early 2002, after they tracked it reside at Chicago’s Soma E.M.S. studio with engineer Chris Shaw and Jim O’Rourke, the latter of whom combined Wilco’s earlier album, Yankee Resort Foxtrot.
