Samantha Ruth Prabhu got married to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru today (December 1). The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. They exchanged rings, marking a new chapter in their lives, and then made their vows. While Samantha and Raj have already announced their marriage through a collaborative post, the actress’ friend Shilpa Reddy has now shared inside pictures from the wedding.
The photos are all about the setting in which Samantha and Raj made lifetime promises before the holy fire. One of the frames shows the newlyweds posing with Shilpa. Their emotional joy, soft glances, and shared smiles say it all. Another picture shows Shilpa warmly planting a kiss on the bride’s cheek, expressing her admiration and delight. However, the frame that steals the spotlight features the lovebirds looking at each other, making the most of their special moment. Decked in traditional outfits, both look beautiful and lovely.
Further, the rest of the images give a glimpse of the ceremonial arrangements. Be it turmeric-coated coconuts, betel leaves, kumkum, fresh flowers, or other sacred things needed for the rituals, everything was placed carefully for the puja and wedding festivities. The offerings for the deity, who is seen decorated with garlands, include grains, flour, turmeric, and leaves.
Talking about Samantha’s outfit, she wore a red silk saree by Arpita Mehta and accessorised it with gold jewellery. She tied her hair in a bun and tucked a gajra into it, completely owning the traditional bride look. The Family Man actress opted for a minimal mehendi design. On the other hand, Raj Nidimoru complimented her in a Tarun Tahiliani outfit. The handwoven silk kurta and classic churidar were just perfect for their temple wedding.
For the unversed, their connection reportedly began on the sets of The Family Man 2, where Samantha joined the cast. After the success of the show, Samantha again joined hands with Raj for Citadel: Honey Bunny. Reports claimed that this was when sparks began to fly.
