The Crew Prepares for the Big Launch
Bodhi and Grace impress Mitch and Cleo with the marketing push they’ve built for the new distillery.
They’ve managed to draw attention from critics and craft experts alike, and the site now looks more like a destination than a business.
Dwight and Margaret share a quiet morning, where she jokes about bringing Cal Thresher to the launch for publicity.
Dwight struggles with jealousy, calling Cal “the albino” and admitting he feels pathetic for being so possessive. The two share laughter, revealing how comfortable and natural they’ve become together.
Elsewhere, Vince contacts Bill — who’s on horseback — to complain about Quiet Ray. Bill dismisses him, saying if Quiet Ray has a problem with Dwight, he should take it up with Dwight directly.
Jeremiah and Cole Plot Their Revenge
Jeremiah dresses in his old-fashioned clothes, annoyed by his son’s constant commentary. When Cole tries to strategize about taking down Dwight, Jeremiah mocks him and dismisses the idea.
Later, Jeremiah meets with the Attorney General, reminding him that his campaign was bankrolled by Jeremiah’s money. He wants the AG to send inspectors to the distillery and shut it down before the grand opening.
The Men Talk, the Son Listens
As the crew gets ready for the event, Tyson asks Dwight what makes a man. Dwight tells him it’s about value and courage — about how much you mean to others.
Tyson questions his own worth and compares himself to his father, feeling ashamed for always asking for help. Dwight assures him he’s a warrior in his eyes, giving Tyson a sense of pride again.
Tension Builds at the Distillery
Guests arrive dressed up for the grand opening. Dwight praises Joanne for her work, calling the place an “amusement park.” Before he can check finances with Bodhi, Goodie interrupts — Kansas City has arrived.
Bill warns Dwight that Quiet Ray is pushing for conflict and that one of his wire operations was just raided. He suspects Armand or even Quiet Ray himself may have turned. Dwight insists he’s ready for whatever comes, determined not to back down.
Moments later, Dwight gets a call from the mysterious Watchmaker, demanding an immediate meeting. Before he can react, Musso calls, confirming he’s been monitoring Dwight’s phone and instructing him to go. Musso sends an image of two dead bodies as a reminder of the stakes.
Meeting the Watchmaker
Dwight and Tyson drive to the Bred 2 Buck, where the Watchmaker is already waiting. Dwight grabs a drink for courage before sitting down. The man speaks quietly, testing Dwight’s patience with small talk before quoting $250,000 for the job.
Dwight names Jeremiah Dunmire as the target and pays in cash. The Watchmaker ends the conversation with a chilling “You’re not a fed, are you?” before leaving.
As Dwight exits, Tyson notices someone nearby taking photos with a long camera lens.
Disaster at the Launch
At the distillery, tensions rise when a health inspector shows up demanding to see Joanne. Bodhi urges her to stay calm, but the inspector insists on inspecting the property and begins listing violations.
Goodie texts “Watch Repair” while the inspector pushes deeper into the facility.
When the inspector mocks Goodie’s attempt at bribery, Bigfoot accidentally kills him by dropping barrels from above. The crew scrambles to cover it up as Jeremiah and his men arrive outside, furious and ready for confrontation.
Jeremiah Makes His Move
Jeremiah storms into the event, accusing Dwight of stealing what’s his — including the whiskey formula he created with Cleo’s father. He orders Cole to smash the barrels, and Cole reluctantly obeys, only to see Spencer watching from across the room. Her disappointment is clear, leaving him humiliated.
As chaos unfolds, police and the Attorney General arrive. Jeremiah openly brags about his political influence while Dwight and the AG exchange tense glances.
Picking Up the Pieces
After the disaster, Margaret invites Dwight to her place, but he declines, saying he needs to think. Joanne calls the event a complete failure, but Dwight refuses to accept defeat, telling the crew they’ll return stronger.
Then Goodie reports a “problem” in the barrel room. Dwight decides to stage the inspector’s death as a workplace accident to protect everyone involved.
Bill Demands Answers
Later, Dwight drinks alone when Bill shows up at his door, suspicious of Dwight’s secret meeting. He admits to having his men follow Dwight to the Bred 2 Buck and accuses him of greed and disloyalty.
Dwight turns a gun on him, furious at being called a rat, but Bill doesn’t back down. He says if the situation were reversed, Dwight would do the same — and walks out.
An Ambush on the Road
Driving home, Bill stops at a light and checks his phone. Two black vehicles block him in, and men in tactical gear swarm his car, ordering him not to move. Bill raises his hands, ending the episode in uncertainty as the screen fades to black.
