[Warning: The below contains MAJOR spoilers for The White Lotus Season 3 Episode 3, “The Meaning of Dreams.”]
The White Lotus takes a serpentine flip in its newest Season 3 episode as Rick (Walton Goggins) and girlfriend Chelsea (Aimee Lou Wooden) discover outdoors the confines of the titular resort.
On the streets of Thailand, Rick seeks out a drug-induced escape, steering Chelsea in direction of a snake present after scoring a blunt that sends him on one wild journey. Paranoid and stoned out of his thoughts, Rick begins speaking to the snakes of their tanks and decides he should set them free. This sees Goggins deal with the unique creatures as he opens their enclosures and tries releasing them into the wild.
“It was so enjoyable, it was so bizarre,” Wooden tells TV Insider of the expertise filming the sequence. “It was simply such an odd day. I used to be simply in a room with a great deal of snakes for hours and hours and hours with Walton actually scared ’trigger it’s his largest concern.”

That is simply the most recent event through which Goggins has needed to deal with a snake onscreen following 2019’s Them That Observe. In accordance with Wooden, “That’s twice in his profession now he’s needed to work together with snakes, and he was sort of freaking out and he was having to essentially go into the entire ‘I’m stoned Rick’ headspace to have the ability to simply decide up this snake as a result of it’s his largest concern.”
To assist fight the nerves, Wooden shares, “I used to be giving him a whole lot of ethical help.”
Whereas Goggins confronted his fears, Wooden reveals the sequence, which finally sees Chelsea get bit by a lethal snake, really led to her falling over. “After I was operating away from [the] snake, I really completely fell flat on my face. It was chaos. It was all chaos, nevertheless it felt like a very enjoyable motion sequence,” she provides.
Chelsea’s chew isn’t lethal to her as she is carted off to the hospital in time to be correctly handled. Regardless, Wooden doesn’t endure from the same concern to her costar as she muses, “I’m not afraid of snakes in any respect. I really fairly like snakes and I held a snake, which was actually cool.”
