    The Sandman TV Show on Netflix: canceled or renewed?

    The Sandman will return for a second season, however that season will finish the collection. The collection was renewed in November 2022.

    Tom Sturridge, Boyd Holbrook, Patton Oswalt, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Charles Dance, Jenna Coleman, David Thewlis, Stephen Fry, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Mason Alexander Park, Donna Preston, Vanesu Samunyai, John Cameron Mitchell, Asim Chaudhry, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Joely Richardson, Niamh Walsh, Sandra James Younger, and Razane Jammal star within the Netflix collection.

    The collection follows the Sandman as he tries to revive order to his realm referred to as the Dreaming after he escapes from a century-long captivity. Based on Deadline, showrunner Allan Heinberg mentioned the next in a submit on X:

    “The Sandman collection has all the time been targeted solely on Dream’s story, and again in 2022, after we seemed on the remaining Dream materials from the comics, we knew we solely had sufficient story for yet one more season. We’re extraordinarily grateful to Netflix for bringing the crew all again collectively and giving us the time and sources to make a trustworthy adaptation in a means that we hope will shock and delight the comics’ loyal readers in addition to followers of our present.”

    This cancellation comes whereas Neil Gaiman is dealing with sexual assault and misconduct allegations, which he has denied.

    The premiere date for season two of The Sandman might be introduced later.
