The Franchise Canceled By HBO After One Season

The satirical comedy sequence in regards to the making of a superhero film was created by Jon Brown (“Succession,” “Veep”) and govt produced by Sam Mendes (“1917,” “Skyfall”) and Armando Iannucci (“Veep”).

The sequence starred Himesh Patel as a frazzled first assistant director on a big-budget film that could be a minor installment in a bigger superhero franchise. Aya Money, Jessica Hynes, Billy Magnussen, Lolly Adefope, Darren Goldstein and Isaac Powell rounded out the ensemble, and Richard E. Grant and Daniel Brühl had been recurring forged members.
