The fate of Amazon’s Bosch spinoff has finally been revealed. Ballard premiered its first season on Prime Video in July, expanding the universe established by Bosch and Bosch: Legacy while also bringing more of author Michael Connelly’s bestselling novels to the screen. The police procedural shot straight to number one on the streaming charts and was met with overwhelmingly positive critical acclaim, leaving viewers to wonder whether Maggie Q‘s titular detective would get a chance to crack more cases, or whether she would be forced to hand in her badge. It turns out, she’s not done yet, as Ballard has been renewed for a second season.
