Ryan Murphy‘s domination of FX’s programming will continue into the new year when The Beauty arrives on January 21, 2026. The new series reunites the megaproducer with American Horror Story favorite Evan Peters and promises to be another twisty adventure for audiences.

The first three episodes of the new series will premiere on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 9/8c, on FX and Hulu (and Disney+ for international streamers).
Who stars in The Beauty?
In addition to Peters, the series will also star Rebecca Hall, Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope, Bella Hadid, Anthony Ramos, and Isabella Rossellini. Guest stars include Amelia Gray Hamlin, Ari Graynor, Bella Hadid, Ben Platt, Billy Eichner, Isabella Rossellini, Jessica Alexander, Julie Halston, Lux Pascal, Meghan Trainor, Nicola Peltz Beckham, Peter Gallagher, and Vincent D’Onofrio.
What is The Beauty about?
The Beauty is an adaptation of the comic of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley.
The official description for the series tells us, “In FX’s The Beauty, the world of high fashion turns dark when international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways. FBI Agents Cooper Madsen (Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Hall) are sent to Paris to uncover the truth. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary people into visions of physical perfection, but with terrifying consequences. Their path leads them directly into the crosshairs of ‘The Corporation’ (Kutcher), a shadowy tech billionaire who has secretly engineered a miracle drug dubbed ‘The Beauty,’ who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire—including unleashing his lethal enforcer, ‘The Assassin’ (Ramos). As the epidemic spreads, Jeremy (Pope), a desperate outsider, is caught in the chaos, searching for purpose as the agents race across Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to stop a threat that could alter the future of humanity. The Beauty is a global thriller that asks: What would you sacrifice for perfection?”
Murphy himself told Variety that The Beauty is, “a sci-fi medical show about a new virus that mutates and it’s sexually transmitted, that turns you into your absolute perfect self. And the question is, how far would you go to be beautiful? What would you sacrifice to that, and does that matter?” He added that it is his take on “Ozempic culture.”
What else is there to know about The Beauty?
There will be multiple locations featured in the series, including Venice, Rome, and Paris, and Murphy compared the scale of the series to Game of Thrones. Murphy co-creates the series with Matthew Hodgson.
