After the massive, multi-continent, two-year-long “Eras Tour,” Taylor Swift is taking a much-needed break from touring.
When discussing her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, on BBC Radio 1 with Greg James this morning, Swift immediately shut down the possibility of touring behind the record. “Do you have the itch for another something soon?,” James asked in reference to another outing. “No,” Swift said (swiftly?). “No, I’m just gonna be really honest with you, I am so tired when I think about doing it again. Because I want to do it really well… again. You know?”
So while there may not be a tour devoted to The Life of a Showgirl, Swift is at least making sure that when she does return to the stage, she’ll be energized and ready to create something as monumental as “The Eras Tour.” That’s a tall order — we named “The Eras Tour” one of the best tours of all time — but if anyone can do it, it’s Taylor Swift. The Life of a Showgirl is out now; pick up your copy of the album here, and keep up with all our Taylor Swift coverage here.
