System of a Down’s “Toxicity” music video has hit 1 billion views on YouTube, marking the band’s second video to succeed in the milestone.
“Toxicity” follows “Chop Suey!,” which is now closing in on the 1.5 billion mark on YouTube. Each songs are from System of a Down’s acclaimed sophomore album, 2001’s Toxicity, which has been licensed six-times platinum in the US.

The brand new milestone comes forward of System of a Down’s extremely anticipated summer season run of North American stadium exhibits, together with two dates every in East Rutherford, New Jersey (with Korn); Chicago (with Avenged Sevenfold); and Toronto (with Deftones). It’s been greater than 19 years since System of a Down final launched a studio album (2005’s Hypnotize). In a current interview with Eddie Trunk, bassist Shavo Odadjian mentioned that if the band does ultimately make a brand new album, it “must be wonderful,” including, “It could’t simply be us riffing, ’trigger we’ve bought so much to dwell as much as, bro.”
