Stanley Simmons, a new duo comprised of singer-guitarist Evan Stanley and vocalist Nick Simmons — the sons of KISS legends Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons — have unveiled their debut single, “Body Down.”
Evan and Nick previously previewed the song, which they co-wrote with singer-guitarist Jacob Bunton (Steven Adler, Mars Electric, Lynam), with a stripped-down performance posted on Instagram way back in February. Now, the fully produced single is out, and available to stream below.
The mostly acoustic tune has elements of ’60s psychedelic rock, as Evan and Nick harmonize on the vocals. At the 2:30 mark, an electric guitar solo adds a little heaviness to the song.
In advance of the single’s release, Evan posted a video message to Instagram, thanking fans for their support. “It feels awesome,” he said. “It’s surreal in a lot of ways ’cause it’s one of the first songs we wrote together.”

Evan is already an accomplished musician, as he fronts the band Amber Wild, who opened for KISS on the latter’s farewell tour.
Nick, meanwhile, appeared in the A&E reality show Gene Simmons Family Jewels. He also created a comic book series called Incarnate, and did voice-over work on Cartoon Network’s Robot Chicken. While his music résumé isn’t lengthy, he did contribute vocals to Gene Simmons’ 2004 song “Carnival of Souls” and former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick’s 2010 tune “Hand to the King.”
