The upcoming Spaceballs sequel will arrive in theaters in 2027, with Mel Brooks himself set to reprise his position as Yogurt, Amazon MGM Studios has introduced. What’s extra, Deadline experiences that fellow OG forged members Rick Moranis and Invoice Pullman will even seem within the sequel, reprising their roles as Darkish Helmet and President Skroob, respectively, whereas Keke Palmer is among the many new forged members. Moranis’ involvement is especially noteworthy as he has primarily been retired from appearing because the mid-2000s.
Josh Greenbaum is directing the sequel from a script by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad. It would arrive on the fortieth anniversary of the unique movie, which was directed and co-written by Brooks.
