Sepultura’s Greyson Nekrutman has been tapped as the temporary drummer of Trivium following Alex Bent’s departure.
Trivium announced that Bent had exited the band on Friday, later adding that Nekrutman would fill in behind the kit for the band’s appearance at Aftershock this past Saturday. It turns out the current Sepultura pounder — the replacement for Eloy Casagrande when the latter left for Slipknot — will be on the road with Trivium for the duration of their upcoming North American tour, per a post on Nekrutman’s Instagram.

Sepultura also confirmed as much, while also reassuring fans that Nekrutman would be back with Sepultura after the completion of Trivium’s tour. The Brazilian thrashers posted on Instagram stories (via Brave Words): “As many of you may already know, our drummer Greyson Nekrutman has temporarily joined our friends from Trivium as their drummer. In 2026, he’ll be back with Sepultura, resuming his place in the band as we continue our farewell tour.”
