The Central Board of Movie Certification (CBFC) has stirred controversy by blocking the theatrical launch of the internationally acclaimed movie Santosh in India. Directed by British-Indian filmmaker Sandhya Suri and starring Shahana Goswami, the movie has been lauded globally for its uncooked depiction of police brutality, sexual violence, caste discrimination, and misogyny inside the Indian police pressure.
