Ryan Reynolds has debuted the primary trailer for John Sweet: I Like Me, a brand new documentary movie exploring the life and legacy of late comic John Sweet, who’s greatest remembered for his memorable roles within the likes of Uncle Buck, House Alone, and Planes, Trains and Cars. The forthcoming function, directed by Colin Hanks, had its world premiere on the Toronto Worldwide Movie Competition (TIFF) on Thursday evening forward of its Prime Video debut subsequent month — and it seems like there will not be a dry eye in the home when it releases.
The trailer for John Sweet: I Like Me — which takes its identify from a line within the gut-punching speech that the actor delivers to Steve Martin’s character after he blows up at him in Planes, Trains and Cars — reveals itself as a touching tribute to the Canadian star, who died of a coronary heart assault in 1994 on the age of 43. An enormous ensemble of comedy titans seem within the function to share their anecdotes and recollections of the Hollywood icon, together with Martin, who refers to his beloved former co-star as “one of many high performers out of all of them.”
