RUSH surprised the rock world when they announced a 2026 North American reunion tour, pairing classic members Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson with new drummer Anika Nilles.
The trek, dubbed “Fifty Something,” will mark the Canadian prog-rock legends’ first since 2015’s “R40 Tour,” as well as their first concerts since the passing of drummer Neil Peart in January 2020.

Fans can register for an artist pre-sale by signing up at this location by October 9th at 11:59 p.m. ET. The artist pre-sale officially begins on Monday, October 13th at 12:00 p.m. local time via Ticketmaster. Additionally, Citi Cardmembers can access a special pre-sale beginning Friday, October 10th at 12:00 p.m. local time. What Is RUSH’s “Fifty Something” 2026 Tour?
As mentioned, RUSH’s “Fifty Something” tour is the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band’s first tour in 11 years, and the first since the passing of iconic drummer Neil Peart. The outing will hit seven markets in North America, with multiple shows in select cities. Among the stops are Los Angeles’ Kia Forum (June 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th); Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes (June 18th); Fort Worth, Texas’ Dickies Arena (June 24th, 26th, 28th, and 30th); Chicago’s United Center (July 16th, 18th, 20th, and 22nd); New York City’s Madison Square Garden (June 28th and 30th, and August 1st and 3rd); Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena (August 7th, 9th, 11th, and 13th); and Cleveland’s Rocket Arena (September 17th and 19th).
Who Is RUSH’s New Drummer Anika Nilles?
Lee and Lifeson tapped Nilles — a 42-year-old German drum virtuoso and prolific instructor — for the demanding role of playing Peart’s parts, stating in a press release: “We could not be more excited to introduce her to our loyal and dedicated RUSH fanbase, whom, we know, will give her every chance to live up to that near impossible role.” Lee further explained the decision to bring in Nilles, noting: “I’m very happy to say that she is fantastic to play with, and we’ve had now a number of sessions with her, and we’re going to go on the road with her.”
