Your method to make this Wednesday easy is right here.
The Rotterdam-based singer with Venezuelan, Surinamese, Chinese language and Dutch roots Jessy Yasmeen (whose “Wash Away” we featured in June) is again along with her full Leap of Religion EP, out through our associates Vokall Data.
Taking inspiration from her wealthy heritage, Jessy blends varied influences in her music – from the likes of Erykah Badu, Greentea Peng & Cleo Sol. The main target observe “Again to the Center” carries bossa-nova rhythms, Latin guitars, easy horns, cinematic strings, and neo-soul vocals – a next-level tackle r&b. The music tells the story of Jessy’s journey into maturity from 18 to 30, “seeking id and self-confidence.”
P.S. when you like this sound, you may verify our new bossa nova r&b playlist.
