Queens of the Stone Age performed “Running Joke/Paper Machete” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday night, bringing with them the dark vibes of their current North American “Catacombs Tour.”
The performance started with frontman Josh Homme lying down backstage, mimicking a scene from the the band’s Alive in the Catacombs concert film. He began singing and made his way through a hallway and onto the stage where he joined the rest of his band.

The entire performance was presented in low lighting, with Homme carrying around a work light giving glimpses of him and his bandmates, similar to what Consequence witnessed at the tour’s kickoff in Chicago earlier this month.
