After a quiet 2024 release-wise, Toronto punk act PUP is lastly again with a model new single, “Paranoid.” Watch the music video for the brand new track under.
Marking their first new music in virtually two years, “Paranoid” is a traditional PUP ripper. Produced by John Congleton, it’s high-energy, catchy as hell, and loud as fuck. Briefly, it’s PUP doing what PUP does finest.

“My favorite a part of this track is the breakdown [at] 1:45,” frontman Stefan Babcock stated of the monitor. “It’s the heaviest second within the track. Zack and Steve are going so exhausting, I’m yelling about all this unhappy stuff that’s occurring with me, and Nestor is simply taking part in the melody from ‘The Lion Sleeps Tonight’ on the bass. It cracks me up each time I hear it. So fucking humorous. It’s a really PUP second.”
The tune comes accompanied by an especially artistic music video directed by Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux. What begins as phone-shot live performance footage shortly turns right into a rigorously choreographed, extraordinarily spectacular visible affair.
