Sean “Diddy” Combs is scheduled to be sentenced this Friday (October 3rd) after being found guilty on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution. Federal prosecutors are urging the judge, Arun Subramanian, to impose an 11-year prison sentence, citing Combs’ “decades of abuse” and “unchecked violence.”
In their new filing, prosecutors included a sworn statement from Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, who urged the court to reject claims that he is a “changed man.” “I know that who he was to me — the manipulator, the aggressor, the abuser, the trafficker — is who he is as a human,” Ventura wrote. “He has no interest in changing or becoming better.”
Meanwhile, Combs’ defense team is pushing for a 14-month sentence, which would allow for his immediate release based on time served.
