Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs (aka Pigs x7) have introduced a brand new album titled Loss of life Hilarious, together with releasing the brand new single/video “Stitches.” The UK stoner-metal act’s fifth LP might be launched April 4 through Lacking Piece Data.
Loss of life Hilarious serves because the follow-up to Pigs x7’s 2023 album, Land of Sleeper, whereas the track “Stitches” follows earlier single “Detroit” (which was named Consequence’s Heavy Music of the Week upon its launch in November). The 2 singles are among the many 9 songs that make up the tracklist to Loss of life Hilarious.
Pigs x7 frontman Matt Baty acknowledged of the brand new single, “I’m conscious our band sits in a world largely commandeered by bravado, confidence and machoism, however ‘Stitches’ is an expression of vulnerability, paradoxical feelings and people so acquainted pangs of hysteria I wrestle with whereas butting heads with societal expectations and private struggles.”
In a press launch, Loss of life Hilarious is described as “a diversely punishing document that form shifts by Sabbathian doom, grotesquely minimalist noise rock and cyclical post-metal fortissimos.” Guitarist/producer Sam Grant added, “We wished it to be a slap within the face.”
Pigs x7 will assist the brand new album with a UK tour in April, adopted by a European jaunt in Might. Tickets can be found right here.
