Paz Lenchantin, former bassist of Pixies and A Good Circle, has introduced her debut solo album, titled Triste. Forward of the LP’s October seventeenth launch, she has unveiled the lead single, “Grasp Robust” that includes drummer Josh Freese (9 Inch Nails, ex-Foo Fighters), guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), and musician Jeffertiti (Father John Misty).
Based on a press launch, the album blends “Latin people textures with American rock constructions,” and options Lenchantin taking part in each instrument other than the contributions from the visitor musicians. Two of these contributors — Freese and Van Leeuwen — have been bandmates with Lenchantin in A Good Circle.
Lenchantin wrote a lot of the songs in Petatlán, Mexico, the place she had spent her time after the Pixies parted methods along with her in early 2024. The album was combined by Chris Coady, recognized for his work with Seaside Home and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
