It was so interesting to learn that Benjamin had to actually unlearn when he first joined the show due to his knowledge of Krav Maga. It’s so cool to learn that PD and Luce are so hot on making sure that people are acting as closely to how real-life cops are. It’s something so small but it makes the storytelling so much better and more believable.
I love to learn how actors get roles and get into doing the job. You can tell that Benjamin has such a high respect for his mother, we can all thank Benjamin’s mother for giving him the courage to go into acting because now we get to watch him on our screen as Dante.
It’s so funny to learn how Benjamin was told about booking Torres after his first one-episode stint on the show. You know someone is a great actor when Jason Beghe says he’s going to remember them, and then has them come in for a permanent role.
I love the fact that everyone who comes on the podcast always talks so highly of Brian Luce and always gives him credit for a lot of work that goes into PD and making the characters who they are.
It’s great to hear that Benjamin can look at himself objectively, a lot of actors cannot watch themselves back and it’s nice to know he can see when he has done a good job.
