After Oasis’ longtime guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs revealed his prostate cancer diagnosis this month — which ruled him out for the band’s upcoming reunion tour dates in Asia and Australia — the group has announced who will be keeping Bonehead’s seat warm for their shows in Goyang, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney.
Per the UK outlet Mirror, Mike Moore will assume the role of rhythm guitarist for the Asian and Australian dates in Bonehead’s stead. Moore has been a member of Liam Gallagher’s solo band since 2017, and is a good friend of the Oasis vocalist — so he knows his way around many of the band’s tunes.
Bonehead will be returning for Oasis’ South American shows in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil next month after a “planned break,” during which he can recover from the next phase of treatment. Though he mentioned that he’s sad to be missing the Asian and Australian shows, he is “feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America.” Oasis only have a handful more tour dates planned for this year, but according to Liam Gallagher, there’s a lot more in store for 2026.
