Philadelphia shoegazers Nothing have announced a 2026 North American tour and simultaneously released the new song “Purple Strings.”
The trek kicks off March 4th in Baltimore and runs through a homecoming gig on April 4th in Philly, hitting major cities including Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and Brooklyn along the way. Support will be provided by Full Body 2, Cryogeyser, and Violent Magic Orchestra.

A Live Nation ticket pre-sale for the Los Angeles and Brooklyn shows begins Tuesday at 10 a.m. local time for Live Nation All Access members. General ticket sales start Friday at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.

Accompanying the tour announcement was the aforementioned single, “Purple Strings.” The brooding number is the latest cut from the Philly band’s forthcoming album, A Short History of Decay, out February 27th, and features Nothing’s newly solidified lineup around founding frontman Domenic “Nicky” Palermo: guitarist Doyle Martin (Cloakroom), bassist Bobb Bruno (Best Coast), drummer Zachary Jones (MSC, Manslaughter 777), and guitarist Cam Smith (Ladder to God, Cloakroom).
Meanwhile, the band’s 2026 itinerary also includes a pair of February shows in Japan with Whirr, a tour of the UK/Ireland in April following the North American leg, and Nothing’s own multi-city Slide Away Festival in May alongside Hum, Chapterhouse, Swirlies, and more.
