Netflix has launched a brand new trailer previewing its upcoming documentary about Travis Scott’s lethal Astroworld competition in 2021. Titled The Astroworld Tragedy, it’s a part of the streamer’s Trainwreck anthology sequence, which first explored Woodstock ’99 in 2022. Watch the clip under.
Co-directed by Yemi Bamiro (Struggle the Energy: How Hip-Hop Modified the World) and Hannah Poulter (Wished: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn), Trainwreck: The Astroworld Tragedy options footage shot by festivalgoers, 911 name audio, and interviews with survivors and households of victims.
“On November 5, 2021, Travis Scott stepped on stage to carry out his set at Astroworld: what would have been the perfect night time of the festivalgoers’ lives rapidly became a disaster that left 10 of them useless,” reads the official logline. “The Astroworld Tragedy takes an unique have a look at that night time, informed from the attitude of the survivors, paramedics, and safety workers that have been on the middle of this disaster.”
