Nandi Bushell famously defeated Dave Grohl in a drum battle a number of years in the past, and the now-15-year-old music prodigy says she “would have stated YES in a heartbeat” if supplied Foo Fighters’ not too long ago vacant drummer place.
Whereas the Foos have made no official announcement as of but, it has been reported that Ilan Rubin has taken over the drum throne for the veteran rock band, changing the ousted Josh Freese. Mockingly, Rubin left 9 Inch Nails for the Foo Fighters gig, whereas Freese returned to NIN as their new drummer.
Nandi has posted a bevy of YouTube shorts in current weeks, together with drum covers of songs by Misfits, Megadeth, and Iron Maiden. Among the many new clips is a completely crushing rendition of Foo Fighters’ “The Pretender.”

Simply as eye-opening as her efficiency of “The Pretender” is her caption: “I would have stated YES in a heartbeat. Drumming with @foofighters was one of the best second in my life.”
Nandi actually has the chops to drum with Foo Fighters. As she talked about, she joined the Foos in live performance at age 11 in 2021 when she performed “Everlong” with the band on the Discussion board in Los Angeles.
Moreover, her drum battle with Grohl through the pandemic in 2020 was completely epic, with the Foo Fighters frontman in the end declaring Nandi the winner.
