Chu, is nicely underway on the streamer.
The information was reported by Selection, confirming rumors that started circulating again in 2024, after the 2022 reviews of a sequel following Gemma Chan and Harry Shum Jr.’s characters (Astrid and Charlie, respectively) failed to instantly materialize. This can be due partially to co-writer (alongside Peter Chiarelli) Adele Lim departing Jon M. Chu’s supposed diversifications of the following Kevin Kwan novels, China Wealthy Girlfriend and Wealthy Individuals Issues, due to a pay dispute that she described as racist and sexist. However now, with Lim again on board to show-run and government produce this sequence alongside Chu as EP, it feels secure to say that we would really get a return to the world all of us fell in love with in 2018.
