Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 has a premiere date, and it is close to the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the MCU’s sole summer movie next year, set to open in theaters on Jul. 31, 2026, and is the final MCU film of the Multiverse Saga before the two-part epic finale of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars in December 2026 and 2027, respectively. Fans will get plenty of Spider-Man, though, as Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man 2 will debut following the web-head’s live-action feature film.
At New York Comic-Con, Marvel Animation confirmed that Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 would debut on Disney+ in the Fall of 2026. No exact date was specified for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man‘s return, but it will be between Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel Animation also showcased a brief teaser featuring the return of Doc Ock, Peter Parker meeting Gwen Stacy (who has already been confirmed as Spider-Gwen), and a lot more Venom. The footage also confirmed the return of Daredevil, who guest-starred in Season 1, but will now be wearing his classic red costume.
‘Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man’ is Timed for a New School Year
While an exact date for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 was not given, the Fall 2026 release window offers some clues. Fall 2026 will land between September 22 and December 21. November and December feel like long shots since Marvel Studios will likely want to keep all of their focus on Avengers: Doomsday, which opens in theaters on Dec. 18, 2026. This likely means Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is targeting a September or October premiere date.
Releasing Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 in September would align with the start of a new school year, which, for most schools in the United States, would have begun in August or early September. Given how much of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is centered on Peter Parker’s school year adventures, that would make for a great back-to-school marketing campaign that would also give it a couple of months out from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, but still be able to build off its hype.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 1 ran for four weeks from January 29, 2025, to February 12, 2025, releasing two episodes for its premiere and finale and two three-episode blocks in between. It is unclear whether Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 will follow a similar release pattern or do one episode a week, following the positive reaction to Season 1. Yet 2026 certainly looks like a year focused on Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Punisher, and the X-Men as the characters have various high-profile titles and releases planned, giving the MCU a sense of connectivity many have felt has been lacking in the Multiverse Saga.
