In one of many night time’s standout moments, the Saturday Evening Stay fiftieth anniversary live performance paid tribute to the legacy of The Lonely Island with an epic melody celebrating a few of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer’s best contributions to SNL, kicking off first with Woman Gaga’s rendition of “Dick in a Field.”
Properly, first Samberg tried a canopy of “Shallow” from A Star Is Born (full with Jackson Maine wig) earlier than Gaga shut him down. Then, since Justin Timberlake wasn’t round, she supplied to sing “Dick in a Field” in his place.
After a bit, although, Chris Parnell entered the scene to duet with Samberg on “Lazy Sunday,” which then led to Unhealthy Bunny performing “I Simply Had Intercourse,” Eddie Vedder subbing in for Michael Bolton on “Captain Jack Sparrow,” and T-Ache reprising his characteristic on “I’m On a Boat.”
The entire thing culminated in everybody (plus a gospel choir, in fact) performing “I Jizzed In My Pants,” whereas a Canadian flag waved within the background. It was, to be clear, epic.
