Joyce Manor have announced their seventh album, I Used to Go to That Bar, arriving January 30th on Epitaph Records. Simultaneously, the punk/emo act has mapped out a 2026 North American tour and offered up the single “Well, Whatever It Was.”
The extensive 2026 outing will launch on March 9th in Phoenix and run through May 15th in San Francisco, with two weekends at Coachella (April 10th and April 17th) coming during a month-long break in the middle of the itinerary. Militarie Gun, Teen Mortgage, and Combat will provide support for the tour.

Meanwhile, Joyce Manor’s new song “Well, Whatever It Was” has been described as “one of the most Southern California sounding songs ever recorded” by singer-guitarist Barry Johnson.
“I hear Jane’s Addiction in the verses, Beach Boys / Weezer in the chorus, and RHCP in the outro,” Johnson said via a press release. “It was literally produced by the guy from Bad Religion [Brett Gurewitz] FFS. Everyone was just firing on all cylinders for this one. Joey Warnoker’s drumming, TLA’s mix, and Lenny Castro’s percussion all just sent it to the end-zone. This song would go insanely hard in a Shrek film.”
Indeed, Bad Religion’s Brett Gurewitz, also the CEO of Epitaph, was behind the boards for I Used to Go to That Bar, hence the unmistakable SoCal/Epitaph sound present on the song and the previously released lead single, “All My Friends Are So Depressed.”
The Lance Bangs-directed video for the song offers a parody of The Great British Bake Off featuring comedians and musicians playing UK rock stars like The Cure’s Robert Smith, Oasis’ Liam and Noel Gallagher, and Kate Bush.
