    Jon Stewart has spoken out about the way forward for The Day by day Present With Jon Stewart after Stephen Colbert introduced The Late Present With Stephen Colbert would finish in Might 2026.

Stewart signed on for a long-term run in February 2024, agreeing to host The Day by day Present via the 2024 presidential election; he prolonged his duties via December 2025.
