Joey Badass is standing on enterprise. On Wednesday (Jan. 1), the New York rapper fired pictures on the West Coast on his newest report, “The Ruler’s Again.”
“I used to be sittin’ again, watchin’ from an eagle eye/ Tryin’ to not react, simply give me one purpose/ I swear I am on full assault, East Coast n**ga ’til I die/ It is clear who the inheritor, obvious king of NY, n**ga,” he spat within the Waqas Ghani-directed video. Manufacturing, in the meantime, was dealt with by Conductor Williams — whom most know for his work with Westside Gunn.
Elsewhere, Joey Badass unloaded a couple of rounds on the West: “I am hearin’ n**fuel throwin’ rocks, actually? Ain’t s**t stickin’/ ‘Trigger if we talkin’ bar-for-bar, actually, it is slim pickings/ I rap like I draw pentagrams and kill chickens, n**ga/ F**okay round along with your soul like Ether, fast for characteristic/ This that black Air Power power comin’ out your speaker.”
Whereas clearly a shot at his counterparts on the other coast, followers are nonetheless debating who the jab is likely to be directed, particularly with so many artists being on surefire runs recently. Kendrick Lamar arguably outshined Drake of their high-profile feud, whereas Tyler, The Creator dropped his album-of-the-year contender, CHROMAKOPIA, in October.

There, he led masterclasses and lectures about creating music and songwriting in addition to movie and TV for the college’s fall semester.
“Joey, the multihyphenate performer, songwriter, actor, and social advocate, can convey this all-too-real message to our college students with first-hand credibility,” Chair of the Clive Davis Institute, Nicholas Sansano, mentioned on the time. “Of equal, or maybe even larger significance, is his funding within the mentorship and holistic wellness of younger growing professionals.”
It’s unsure whether or not “The Ruler’s Again” will seem on Joey Badass’ forthcoming venture, although he’s been teasing one for fairly a while. On the prime of 2024, the Professional Period artist debuted “Passports & Suitcases” with KayCyy. Then, in September, he joined forces with Chlöe on “Inform Me.”
