Javier Bardem is about to play a lead position in a brand new Cape Concern sequence from government producers Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese.
Bardem will likely be following within the footsteps of Robert Mitchum and Robert De Niro to painting notorious killer Max Cady, who is about for a showdown with married attorneys Amanda and Steve Bowden after getting out of jail.
Apple TV+ has picked up the present for 10 episodes, with Nick Antosca (Hannibal) serving as author, government producer, and showrunner.
The Cape Concern sequence was first reported to be in growth in 2023. Its supply materials is John D. MacDonald’s 1957 novel The Executioners, which in flip impressed the Gregory Peck-starring 1962 movie Camp Concern and the 1991 remake. The latter was directed by Scorsese and produced by Spielberg, with Nick Nolte and Jessica Lange in lead roles reverse De Niro.
