In news that is shocking to absolutely no one, High Potential has been on fire!
The series is the first primetime scripted drama to hit number one in the 10 P.M. time slot since ER in 1999. High Potential has more than proven that it lives up to its name and continues to do so in the sophomore season.
And now, we have to prepare ourselves for High Potential Season 2 Episode 7 which marks the show’s midseason finale as we head into the holiday season.
The Fall Finale May Give Us More Roman Breadcrumbs
We’ve been trying to unravel the Roman mystery since the beginning of the series. And this season, we have a lot of new information and even a new character, Arthur, that has brought us closer to finding Morgan’s first love and Ava’s father.
After High Potential Season 2 Episode 6 we learned that the contents of the backpack included a sketch of Morgan and Ava nearly ten years ago, that proved that Roman was still around, keeping tabs on them, but kept his distance because of whatever he got into.
It was an illuminating clue, and it only further proves that Roman would have been with his family if he had the choice, but he’s been keeping his distance for their safety.
In the fall finale, Morgan will share the bag and contents with Soto, and we’ll see her digging into this mystery further in hopes of finding some clue that could lead them to Roman.
I’m curious to see if something comes to fruition there, and given that it is a midseason finale, it wouldn’t be too much of a surprise if we did in fact see Roman for the first time or Soto succeeds in finding him.
It would also make sense as Morgan may be potentially moving on in her life in a way that would make things interesting if Roman reappears and challenges everything that she’s established thus far.
Does Wagner Connect to Roman?
The running theory amongst many of us viewers is that Wagner’s interest in Morgan is largely part because of Roman.
He comes from an established law enforcement dynasty, they may have had something to do with the dirty cops whom Roman has been on the run from, and Wagner may have a vested interest in finding Roman, too.
And the best way to do that is to stay close to Morgan, especially since he knows that she and the team are actively looking for him.
So, it’ll be nice if the fall finale gives us some more tidbits about a mysterious Wagner that gives us more of a clue as to if he’s a friend or foe in all of this.
Morgan is Lip-Locking And It’s NOT with Karadec (Or Wagner)!
OK, so the case itself sounds like it’s going to be super fun.
I’m talking art heists type of fun. The timing could not be better as the Louvre heist has entertained the entire globe.
The team takes part in an investigation when someone steals a priceless painting from a museum. But more interestingly, it sets them up to work alongside an art recovery expert.
It seems the case will mostly be one of those scenarios where proper ownership is in question, which is often the case with priceless historical art of any kind.
But the James-Bond like art recovery expert seems to have caught Morgan’s eye, and her lips, because our girl can be clearly seen in the promo having quite the steam makeout session with this handsome guy who ISN’T any of the other men who have been top contenders for Morgan’s heart.
The swerve from Wagner is pleasantly surprising, and I’m kind of here for the potential drama and tension that may reveal itself with both Karadec and Wagner given this development!
