Goo Goo Dolls stopped by the NPR office to perform some of their biggest hits for their first-ever Tiny Desk Concert.
The band, fronted by Johnny Rzeznik, brought four songs from across their career to the NPR headquarters, including two of their most successful singles. They opened with beloved Dizzy Up the Girl track “Slide,” followed by a rendition of “Feel the Silence” from their 2006 record Let Love In. They continued with a performance of “Not Goodbye (Close Your Eyes),” a song that appeared on their recently-released Summer Anthem EP. As to be expected, they concluded their set with their ubiquitous, diamond-certified hit “Iris.”

“I’m a little nervous,” Rzeznik told the closely-seated audience before playing “Not Goodbye (Close Your Eyes),” “Because we could all be on a first name basis… This is intimidating!” Ahead of launching into “Iris,” Rzeznik encouraged the audience to sing along with him: “I know this is public radio, it’s really cool… but if you want to sing along, you can.” Watch the Goo Goo Dolls’ full Tiny Desk performance below.

To coincide with the premiere of their Tiny Desk Concert, Goo Goo Dolls confirmed 2026 residency dates at the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas. The residency spans a total of five dates in mid-May. Tickets will first go on sale for the residency via various pre-sales, including a Live Nation pre-sale kicking off on Thursday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. PT; fans can sign-up for Live Nation’s free All Access membership to receive pre-sale access. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 21st at 10:00 a.m. PT via Ticketmaster.
