Robin Roberts may give nearly as good as she will get in terms of on-air banter, as her Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan came upon first-hand on Wednesday’s (August 13) episode.
The playful back-and-forth occurred because the panel have been discussing the current craze over Labubu dolls, the collectible plush toys with exaggerated ears, eyes, and tooth. Through the section, Strahan reached under the desk as Roberts warned him, “Don’t do it, Michael. Don’t do it.”
Strahan ignored his costar’s pleas and proceeded to take out a stuffed toy that Roberts had delivered to the studio along with her. Regardless of trying like a spherical, brightly coloured penguin, Strahan informed viewers that Roberts thought it was a Labubu.
“We have been sitting right here, and I noticed Robin on her cellphone, and she or he was trying this up,” he stated, exhibiting the toy to his cohosts Lara Spencer and Whit Johnson. “She thought it was a Labubu.”
“No, that’s not a Labubu,” Spencer replied.
“It’s not even a Lafufu,” Strahan joked. “It doesn’t look something like [a Labubu].”
Roberts defended her stuffed animal, telling Strahan, “It’s particular to me as a result of Dr. [Tara] Narula’s daughter gave it to me so as to add to my assortment. So how do you’re feeling?”
