Girls5eva is not going to be returning for a fourth season. Netflix has canceled Girls5eva after airing its third season in March.
That is the second time the musical comedy sequence has been canceled. Peacock canceled the sequence after two seasons, and Netflix picked up the sequence for season three in October 2022.
Sara Bareilles, Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, and Renée Elise Goldsberry star within the sequence, which follows a reunited woman rock band from the Nineties.
Philipps introduced the present’s cancellation on her podcast when requested by a visitor, per What’s on Netflix. She is saying poor viewership is what led to the present’s cancellation. She mentioned the next:
“It’s lifeless. Yeah. I’m simply saying it as a result of, f*** it, if Netflix received’t, I’ll. I suppose not sufficient folks watch, watched it or watched it the best way that counts or I don’t know. I really simply don’t know.
Netflix isn’t saying it’s lifeless, and so they don’t say something about how the deal was structured when it went to Peacock for the second season, or a few third season. So there’s time. I don’t assume it’ll ever be dead-dead. The characters are too good. I’ve even joked with the forged, like, we should always do Radio Metropolis or flip it right into a dwell stage present—a musical, possibly even Broadway sometime.”
