Geese made a hometown appearance at Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, October 2nd, performing their song “Taxes” off their recently-released album Getting Killed.
Taking place at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Howard Gilman Opera House in the midst of Kimmel’s first full week of shows since returning from suspension, Geese performed a faithful, glorious rendition of Getting Killed‘s lead single. The camera work mirrored that of “Taxes’” music video, starting out in black and white and gradually exploding in color as the song unfolded. Drummer Max Bassin, Geese’s rhythmic backbone, ripped in his usual fashion, while singer Cameron Winter provided earnest, crystal-clear vocals. Watch the performance below.

We praised the new album in our review, describing it as “the most creative indie rock album of the year.” We also included Getting Killed in our Staff Picks roundup of the best albums of September 2025.
