Megan Fox is stepping into the creepy world of Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza for a newly announced role in Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. During the Blumfest event at New York Comic Con 2025, it was confirmed that the former Transformers actress, 39, will star as Toy Chica — an upgraded redesign of the original Chica from the first film.
“Her kids happen to be huge Five Nights at Freddy‘s fans as well. So she has heard about this world for a long time from her kids, and she was really pumped to do the voice of Toy Chica,” director Emma Tammi revealed at the fan convention. “She did the most amazing job. She wanted to pay homage to the games, but also make it her own. And I’m so stoked for you guys to hear her. She’s amazing.”
Alongside Fox, YouTube personality Matthew “MatPat” Patrick will play Toy Bonnie, and Kellen Goff — who voiced several different characters in the FNAF video games — will bring Toy Freddy to life on the big screen. Five Nights at Freddy’s alums Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games), Matthew Lillard (Scream), Elizabeth Lail (Countdown), and Piper Rubio (For All Mankind) are also set to reprise their roles, while Skeet Ulrich (Riverdale), Teo Briones (Chucky), and Mckenna Grace (Annabelle Comes Home) will make their franchise debut in the highly-anticipated sequel.
FNAF 2 is set one year after the events of the first film as Mike (Hutcherson) and Vanessa (Lail) struggle to keep Abby (Rubio) from the truth about what really happened to her “animatronic friends.”
When Abby sneaks out to reconnect with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, it will set into motion a terrifying series of events, revealing dark secrets about the true origin of Freddy’s, and unleashing a long-forgotten horror hidden away for decades.
‘Scream’ Villains Reunite in ‘FNAF 2’
Lillard and Ulrich famously played murderous Ghostface duo Stu Macher and Billy Loomis in Scream (1996) — and nearly 30 years later, they’re getting the team back together for FNAF 2! Lillard, 55, memorably starred in the first FNAF as sadistic killer William Afton A.K.A. Springtrap, who is the co-founder of Fazbear Entertainment. Ulrich, 55, is rumored to be playing Henry Emily, Afton’s business partner and the engineer who designed the original animatronics.
While discussing how Ulrich snagged the role, Lillard told People that FNAF creator Scott Cawthon had been searching for a “middle-aged man” to play the part and personally asked him what it had been like working with the Jericho star.
“He’s a dream,” the Scooby-Doo actor recalled telling him. “He’s the sweetest man around. He’s talented, and he cares deeply about fans.”
“I think that both of us approach fandom with love and admiration and appreciation. And I think that really speaks to Scott [Cawthon], because he has that same affiliation with his fans. I think that’s one of the reasons he brought in Skeet [Ulrich]. And I think Skeet knocked it out of the park. He’s fantastic in the film, and I’m excited for people to see it.”
Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will premiere in theaters on Dec. 5.
