This week’s episode of FBI: Most Wished, “Belief,” ditched the standard spree-crime chaos for a traditional whodunit—constructed on the pillars of greed and lust. It was a deliciously messy story of intimate betrayal, double-dealing, and a double-cross. What extra may a criminal offense junkie need?

A much-maligned spouse, Vanessa Van Dyke (Mary Kate Moore), is discovered murdered in her bathtub. The Fugitive Job Pressure investigates. At first look, it appears to be like like she was indulging in her kink—auto-erotic asphyxiation—with a stranger she picked up from a BDSM hook-up web site. However, oh no, this was no tragic accident.

Her husband, Jay Bradford (Brian Letscher), spins a sob story for Supervisory Particular Agent Remy Scott (Dylan McDermott), claiming Vanessa almost drowned as a toddler, was saved by her father, after which developed a twisted compulsion to recreate near-death experiences within the tub. Daddy died, guilt festered, and voilà—drowning turned her factor. Besides… that was all a giant fats lie.

Seems, Jay Bradford had been getting cozy together with his son’s nanny, Emilia Gutierrez (Paola Andino). “It is at all times the nanny,” Remy quips. And simply if you suppose this story could not get any juicier, we meet Kevin Mulvaney (Luke Wilcox)—Emilia’s boyfriend, who thought her fling with Jay was a one-time mistake.

Oh, Kev. Not solely was he getting cuckolded, however he was additionally being set as much as commit homicide—after which be murdered himself. The final word betrayal bundle. >>

Emilia satisfied Kevin that Vanessa came upon about their affair and was about to fireplace her, kicking her overseas. The answer? Kill Vanessa. Traditional.

Later, Emilia lured Kevin to Bradford’s workplace, the place Jay sweet-talked him into signing a confession. However Kev ought to’ve learn the room higher as a result of as quickly as he did, Emilia shot him lifeless. The scene was staged as a suicide. Vanessa was wealthy. Now, her husband and the nanny had been, too.

Jay and Emilia had all of it discovered—besides Vanessa was no idiot. She suspected her husband was dishonest and employed a crooked PI, Michael Da Fino (Neal Matarazzo), to dig up grime.

Remy tried to get Da Fino to show over his footage to the FBI, however the man was too busy double-dealing. He had hidden cameras in Bradford’s workplace that captured Kevin’s homicide—and as an alternative of handing the footage over, he tried to extort cash from the couple.

Massive mistake. Jay snapped and smashed Da Fino’s cranium into the ground. Increase.

Jay, a self-proclaimed crusing fanatic, hijacked a ship and took hostages. The Fugitive Job Pressure closed in, establishing a tense standoff. Jay threatened that Emilia would kill hostages at his command. Remy threatened… properly, every part.

Ultimately, it wasn’t Remy who broke Emilia—it was Bradford’s pathetic historical past. He deserted his little one from his first marriage, and as she checked out his son—crying, terrified—she noticed him for what he was.

“I’m not that individual anymore,” Bradford claimed.

    “Sure. You’re,” Emilia deadpanned.

    After which? She surrendered.

In the meantime, behind the scenes, Particular Agent Hana Gibson (Keisha Citadel-Hughes) took a break from her addict boyfriend, Ethan.

Sheryll Barnes confided in Hana about interviewing for a supervisory place at headquarters in DC. She additionally revealed to Nina that she’d reduce ties along with her cyber-security girlfriend, Jill Potts (Teri Wyble). Oh, and Ray? Out sick.

The episode wrapped with Sheryll’s huge interview.

“What’s a very powerful factor when main a group?” the interviewer requested.

    “Belief,” Sheryll answered.

He laughed, noting that her response mirrored Remy’s when he interviewed for his promotion.

“Glad to see the apple did not fall removed from the tree,” he remarked.

“Belief” was quick paced. Twisty. Satisfying as hell. A must-watch for any crime junkie.
However let’s discuss Sheryll’s response throughout her interview—was she making a mistake by not telling Remy? Let me know within the feedback.
