Drummer Mike Mangini, who exited Dream Theater upon the return of that band’s unique drummer Mike Portnoy in 2023, has launched a brand new band known as Monolith. The primary piece of music from the three-piece is the only/video “Oligarchs,” which could be streamed under.
Mangini has saved busy since parting methods with Dream Theater, first releasing a solo album, Invisible Indicators, in November 2023. Now, he’s introducing his new band, that includes singer-bassist Hernán “Motley” Rodríguez and guitarist Andy Barrow.
Up to now, Monolith have solely introduced themselves with a couple of social media posts, describing the trio as “a genre-defying band that embodies the fusion of rock and metallic.”
