Apple TV may be offering up a relatively quiet month of new titles on its platform, though, with the ongoing success of Pluribus (which even beat out fan-favorite Severance in its debut), it can afford to take a break. Still, that should not downplay the few titles coming to Apple TV, including a new holiday special sure to evoke nostalgia for ’80s kids and anyone who loves anything Muppet-related.
In addition, one of the hottest action movies of 2025 finally speeds onto streaming, and a beloved holiday favorite becomes free to watch for a few days. If that is not enough, there will be an abundance of cute animals making their way to the screen in a new nature docuseries.

‘The First Snow of Fraggle Rock’ (2025)

Gobo and the rest of the Fraggles are feeling the winter excitement as they prepare for the annual celebration of the first snow, marked by song and dance. Yet when only a single snowflake falls, Gobo finds himself with writer’s block for the song to kick off the festivities. To find inspiration, Gobo decides to enter the world of humans, where he meets fellow songwriter Lele Pons (as herself), also struggling with writer’s block. Their chance encounter inspires them, and as they sing together, Gobo learns that the holiday spirit lies not in perfection but in being authentic with oneself.
Among all the Muppet franchises, the Fraggles have remained firmly embedded in the hearts of many ’80s kids, with their happy vibes and sense of community resonating into adulthood. The First Snow of Fraggle Rock aims to deliver the nostalgia of the series, with its musically led exploration of the holidays meant to provide humor and heart in equal measure. ‘F1 The Movie’ (2025)

A tale of redemption in the high-stakes and high-speed world of competitive racing, F1 The Movie follows the comeback of racer Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), who returns to the sport after an injury. Having spent decades in seclusion, Sonny is coaxed out of his quiet existence by former teammate-turned-team-owner Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), who learns that his old team, APXGP, is on the verge of financial ruin. Sonny finds himself butting heads with new teammates, including young talent Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), but ultimately they come together to claim glory on the racetrack.
F1 certainly tore it up at the box office, with the film by Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski racing up the charts. One of the best Christmas movies of all time, A Charlie Brown Christmas has become a revered classic that people come to time and time again. Apple TV understands the film’s enduring popularity and has made it, along with other Peanuts festive-themed specials, free for a limited time around the holidays. It may only be a two-day window, but it is one that fans of the animated classic should mark down to ensure they can watch it with family.
The story follows Charlie Brown, who is fed up with Christmas’s commercialism and decides to adopt a small tree for an upcoming school pageant. Initially made fun of for his choice, his friend Linus shares the holiday’s importance with the rest of the crew by retelling the Nativity Story.
