DOOL Spoilers Tease ANOTHER Bayview Plot No One Asked For

Sophia’s attempt to run away won’t last very long, which is good news.

The way this will be resolved might not be.

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-20-25 suggest that Sophia will be the latest person to have a mental breakdown.

Sophia Will Collapse When Tate and Holly Confront Her

Tate, Holly, Steve, Brady, and Amy Choi will all catch Sophia at the Pub with her backpack and teddy bear.

I can understand Sophia feeling overwhelmed or trapped. Absolutely everybody whose approval she seeks is in one place, and it’s clear that she’s lost Tate forever (or at least for now) — he’s with Holly and mad as hell at Sophia.

As he should be, of course, but from Sophia’s point of view, he’s refusing to understand how she felt and why she did what she did.

According to Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-20-25, Sophia collapses in Brady’s arms during this high-tension confrontation.

I don’t have a problem with any of that. It’s logical and dramatic.

However, I’m beyond tired of characters — especially female characters — using mental illness as an excuse for bad behavior.

Yes, Sophia is young and the stress of being a pregnant teen got to her.

Those are reasons for a judge to show her mercy, but she still should face some consequences for her behavior — all of it.

She made a series of bad decisions, starting with assuming that Tate was the father without getting a paternity test.

Does it drive you up the wall when characters make terrible decisions?

Her behavior after the baby was born was beyond the pale — and yes, Melinda influenced her, but she still should be held accountable for the lies she told and the elaborate schemes she engaged in.

Plus, taking those photos of Holly and sending them to Johnny was a serious crime. Is that ever going to be addressed?

Mental health is almost never taken seriously, and I especially hate this trope of the past few years in which female characters become violent when they’re emotional.

I was hoping that with two female writers at the helm, we would finally get rid of that misogynistic stereotype, but it doesn’t appear we will be doing that any time soon.

Instead, after Sophia faints, Sarah shares the news with her mother that Sophia has suffered a complete mental breakdown.

These scenes could be powerful, especially if Amy blames herself for Sophia’s downward spiral.

Still, it runs the risk of being another storyline where mental illness is used as an excuse for violence, and that’s not acceptable.

Too many people already believe that anyone with a mental health condition is a violent and dangerous person.

It’s not true, and it’s irresponsible for Days of Our Lives to reinforce that stereotype.

Melinda Is Not Mentioned In These Spoilers, Either

This is the second time Melinda has been involved in a scheme to hide someone’s baby from them, and this time she was guiding an impressionable teenager to do the wrong thing, too.

I’d like real consequences for Melinda.

She should be permanently disbarred, and she and Sophia should both face jail time for a variety of illegal activities they got involved with.

Melinda will probably feel guilty for a while, until the next opportunity to cause trouble comes along, and then she’ll do the same thing yet again.

Sophia Isn’t The Only One Facing Other People’s Wrath…

…but as far as I can tell, Jeremy doesn’t deserve it.

Alex has been looking for an excuse to go off on him ever since he learned that Jeremy was Stephanie’s abusive ex and that he’d come over and given her flowers.

Now that someone told Leo that Stephanie is Anastasia Sands, Alex has that excuse.

Yelling at Jeremy isn’t going to accomplish anything, and it certainly won’t do Titan’s public relations any good.

Additionally, Alex seems to have memory-holed that less than 24 hours before he became obsessed with attacking Jeremy, he was worried that EJ would break his promise to keep Anastasia Sands’ identity. to himself.

EJ is a far more logical suspect. How would Jeremy even know Leo?

It’s hard to take this ridiculous storyline seriously.

I get that people have a right to privacy and Stephanie didn’t want anyone knowing she was Anastasia Sands, which is why she used a pen name.

However, this isn’t nearly as big a drama as she’s making it out to be. Her book is a bestseller, yet she continually insists that it will destroy her life if anyone knows she wrote it.

Accosting Jeremy about it — especially without proof — solves nothing, and it convinces me more that we’re going for some type of love triangle where Stephanie can’t decide whether to stay with Alex or return to her formerly abusive ex.

Jeremy is more likable than Alex at this point, which irks me because I’m not a fan of redeeming abusive men without making them do the work to ensure they will no longer hurt anyone.

But could they be going for a Jack Deveraux redux here?

Jack raped Kayla, which is not something that should ever be swept under the rug, and there have been several good stories that came out of it (the most recent being in 2013 when JJ learned about the rape and ended up in jail for throwing a chair through the bookstore window.)

However, he wasn’t instantly redeemed.

He went to therapy. He did the hard work of figuring out what made him think it was appropriate to overpower a woman like that and of dedicating himself to change.

He also never fully forgave himself and, to this day, isn’t sure why Jennifer chose him.

I’d hoped JJ would get a similar story when he met Paige, and he almost did, but then they veered off into that stupidity with him sleeping with Eve.

Ten years later, Jeremy shows up claiming to be a changed man, which makes me think he’s going to get a similar story to Jack back in the day. I’d love for him and JJ to talk since they have such similar pasts, but it seems like Chad is his confidante.

Xander And Sarah Hit Yet Another Bump In The Road

Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of 10-20-25 say that Sarah will learn that Xander did beat up Philip, and she’ll kick him out yet again.

Yawn. This couple keeps going in circles. Let’s put a stop to it already.

Meanwhile, Marlena worries that Rachel might be beginning to remember that she shot EJ, which will make for some far more interesting storytelling than this nonsense, and Javi and Leo have a run-in with Amy, who probably thinks she has rights to the baby that she doesn’t have.
