After Destroyer wraps their tour with Father John Misty this March, the Dan Bejar-led venture will launch a brand new album titled Dan’s Boogie. At the moment, they shared the lead single “Bologna,” that includes Fiver’s Simone Schmidt.
Due on March twenty eighth by way of Merge Information, Dan’s Boogie would be the first album from Destroyer since 2022’s Labyrinthitis. Spanning 9 new songs, the album will characteristic “spectacle-laden pop epics, private piano ballads, and smoldering works of temper that blur the strains between tune and novel and cinema,” in accordance with its press launch.

The brand new single, “Bologna,” see’s Bejar take a brand new method to narrative in his songwriting by imagining himself as a “supporting character” to the motion, and juxtaposing his breathy, conversational vocals with Schmidt’s the graceful, melodic croon.
In an announcement, Bejar defined, “I haven’t written many songs like ‘Bologna.’ I struggled singing the primary and third verses, a very powerful components of the tune. They wanted gravity and grit. The specter of disappearing wanted to be actual. So, I referred to as Simone.”
The one arrives with a music video directed by David Galloway, starring Bejar and Schmidt. Watch the video under.
As for the tour dates with Father John Misty, Destroyer will carry out in Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit, New York, Philadelphia, and extra cities this February and March. Then, in June, they’ll head to Barcelona for a set at Primavera Sound 2025. Get tickets to their upcoming exhibits right here.
