Awards season rolls on coast to coast, and SFFILM now joins the combo with the Bay Space movie nonprofit’s upcoming gala.
Thursday, SFFILM introduced that “The Substance” Greatest Actress contender Demi Moore, “Dune: Half Two” director Denis Villeneuve, “The Piano Lesson” first-time characteristic director Malcolm Washington, and “Saturday Night time” filmmaker Jason Reitman will all obtain honors at a starry fundraising occasion on Monday, December 9 in San Francisco.
Per SFFILM brass, the occasion “honors exemplary achievement in movie craft and is a fundraiser with proceeds from the occasion supporting the group’s mission to find, nurture, and showcase the subsequent era of movie artists.” SFFILM’s flagship operation is its annual San Francisco Movie Competition, happening subsequent April. SFFILM Awards Night time will happen at San Francisco’s Gateway Pavilion at Fort Mason Middle for Arts & Tradition.
Villeneuve will obtain the Irving M. Levin Award for Movie Path, which has beforehand gone to the likes of Greta Gerwig, Ryan Coogler, Jane Campion, and Chloé Zhao, amongst many others together with present awards season contenders like Marielle Heller, Steve McQueen, Walter Salles, and Mike Leigh.
