David Byrne has revealed his new album, Who Is the Sky?, isn’t his solely main life occasion this week. On his Instagram Story, the Speaking Heads founding member introduced that he’s getting married to his accomplice, Mala Gaonkar, simply weeks after they introduced their engagement.
To mark the event, Byrne shared an inventory of instrumental songs that can be performed throughout their marriage ceremony dinner. “I’m getting married this week and made an virtually totally instrumental playlist whereas our company eat an incredible and spicy dinner,” he wrote. “My sense is that phrases and lyrics might be distracting — the ear goes to them, particularly if it’s a tune one is aware of.”
