In contrast to earlier albums — which have been written primarily based on pre-developed concepts and tune fragments — Nothing sees the band on a brand new artistic airplane, forging the music out of unfastened jam classes.
The previously-released observe, “Graucha Max,” and the brand new single, “S.N.C,” replicate that, pairing the band’s signature knack for audio design with kaleidoscopic preparations, as colours and textures bounce out and in of orbit over a driving beat. “S.N.C” hits an particularly groovy peak round halfway by way of its six-minute runtime, as clavs, vocals, and interjecting guitar traces come collectively like a swirling tapestry of sound.
“S.N.C” arrives with a music video that includes overlaid lyrics and distorted photographs of the band. Watch it beneath.
In March, after the arrival of Nothing, Darkside will hit the street for his or her first North American tour in 11 years, stopping in cities like Chicago, Toronto, Brooklyn, Nashville, Atlanta, Vancouver, and extra. Get tickets right here.
