We have been blessed to comply with the journey of CROOKS INC. from its inception, and it is so inspiring to see the expansion of the London-based 6-piece and every part they’ve achieved to this point.
Aghgul, Daniel, Jajob, Mia, Tom, and Zachary have burst onto the UK jazz scene with a correct affect, from touchdown Recent Finds billboards throughout London, filling out packed rooms at The Nice Escape and the London Jazz Pageant, and in addition supporting Nao Yoshioka. As somebody who has paid shut consideration to them since day one, I really feel they’ve rapidly established themselves as probably the most thrilling new jazz collective of the second.
Right now we have fun their debut long-awaited EP Kismet with a highlight on one of many gems on it – a soul-meets-jazz gem referred to as “Change”. I really like the dynamic interaction between the cheeky instrumental and the vocals, a playful power that units the proper Friday temper.
